Scott Muentnich joins Poettker Construction

Scott Muentnich has joined Poettker Construction Company as a project manager. A LEED Accredited Professional, Muentnich specializes in customer-focused coordination and business development.

“Scott is an excellent project manager and I am very pleased that he has joined the Poettker Construction team,” said Charles (Chuck) Poettker, president. “He has demonstrated a commitment to clients, to the community and to our profession that goes way above any job description.”

Muentnich’s first project at Poettker will be the 32,000 square-foot Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Station for the St. Louis Downtown Airport.

Founded in 1980, Poettker Construction Company has grown significantly reaching $50 million in revenues in 2008. They are commercial contractors doing education, retail, health care, light industrial, and specialty construction in 13 states. Recent projects include a Wal-Mart Supercenter in Carlyle, Illinois and number of higher education facilities including an academic and administrative building for Covenant Seminary in St. Louis and the rehabilitation of the Vadalabene Center at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville.

Muentnich has a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville and has worked for Holland Construction, St. Louis University and The Korte Company.

In addition, Muentnich is a member of the Association of General Contractors’ (AGC) LEED Sustainability Committee, Current Co-Chair of the AGC Construction Leadership Council, AGC Young Constructors steering committee and has also served on the Board of Directors of the Home Builders Association of Greater SW Illinois.
