When overall interior restoration updates and accessibility layout adjustments were needed to better serve patrons of the Seven Gables Inn in Clayton, MO, Restoration St. Louis enlisted Poettker Construction’s expertise in historical renovations to help rejuvenate this hotel.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Seven Gables was constructed in 1926 in the Tudor Revival architectural style. This facility currently features a 32 room hotel and restaurant, but has previously served many purposes from residential to retail to law office.
Restoration updates consist of historic window replacement and interior finish upgrades.
Accessibility elements include constructing a bridge between the 2nd and 3rd floor guest wings; adding an elevator; infilling extra unused staircases; and adding more hallways for better access to the guest rooms.
